Leila Holcomb Upson married Bradley Barnes in 1910 and shortly after moved to the Bradley Homestead. Alongside her husband Leila shaped a home she loved, including the grounds and gardens surrounding it. In the late 1920s Leila picked up the study of painting, developing skills in the study of color theory and artistic composition. Today - the museum is hope to over fifty of her beautiful works - many of which are adorned on the walls of the interior of the museum.
This exhibit will focus on discussing Leila's artistic works, the historic garden here at the museum, and the many ways in which the homestead has celebrated blooming season.
