Greeter Program - ages 15 and up
Our Greeter Program offers volunteers a chance to help out at the Museum. The Greeter Program can be a long-term volunteer position and can work around your schedule as you learn about history. This program can also be used as fulfillment of Community Service Hours.
Event Docent - ages 12 and up
Throughout the year the Barnes Museum holds events on our grounds. During these events, the Museum is open for walk-through tours. Event Docents will be stationed in different rooms of the home to share information and answer any questions our guests may have. Don't know the house? Not to worry! We provide printed information so you'll know exactly what to say. After school/Saturday and Sunday dates available. This program can be considered fulfillment of Community Service Hours.
Fulfillment of School/Town/Religious/Community Service Hours
Do you need Community Service hours? The Barnes Museum can be a fun place to get as many hours as you need. Contact our Curator for more information.
Internship opportunities are available for college students looking for museum experience. Learn how a local museum functions and assist the Curator and Caretaker with different projects. Internships are unpaid and can be used towards class hours or general hands-on experience.
